Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI keep my palm at a window that get sun in the morning. I have not put it outside at all and I have had it about 3 years. Usually water it about once a month. I notice the trunk seems to be pulling away from the soil I notice a gap were there was none before. It has rocks in a square display container.

Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I am unable to see the damage.It sounds like it may need repotting, though. I don't think that I would trim it.
