My plant needs some boost – 2

Question

Hello, my houseplant, not sure what it is, is slowly dying with leaves browning progressively until the whole branch dies. The leaves are not drying off, rather turning brown and all bending downwards. They are still attached to the branch.
I tried hydrogen peroxide mixed with water but it seems the plant is not getting better.
I don’t know if I should cut the leaves as soon as they turn brown and if so, where it is better to cut.

I did answer this question last time, and I will do so again. This is Schefflera. And yes, you will expect to see this get much worse before it gets better.

The last time I saw this, there was the start of a severe fungal infection. They can be controlled, but in all honesty, even with very practiced gardeners, an infection such as severe as this is will usually kill a plant.

The only way to deal with this kind of thing is to know exactly what kind of conditions a plant requires to be healthy. If these conditions are anything other than this, or more conducive to the infection, then the infection will always win.

These Schefflera are not typically very picky about their environment, but if it is very far out of the way of what they would normally see in nature, then this will usually be the end result.
