pear tree blooming

My pear tree bloomed in Sept of last year. This year it bloomed in July and is starting to bloom now. I live in central MS. I think the tree is about 10-12 years old, but I am not sure.

A very dry summer can cause the trees to go into a false dormancy, then if they have a warm spell they can began to blossom.

If it has been dry I would recommend watering the tree into the winter.

Also tree varieties have different chilling requirements.
Fruit varieties that have more or less than the required chilling time can suffer bloom delays or break dormancy at the wrong times.
Growing a variety that is suited to the correct growing environment will have the least chance of these occurrences.
