My Jackfruit Tree Leaves turn brown and fall off.

My Jackfruit Leaves turn brown and fall off. Indoors, big container, about 1 year old, 2.5 feet tall.
I am using bottle water, The Soil drains well, so I water it once a week till I see a bit of water drain from bottom of pot. I tend to spray a water mist on leaves daily. Every 2 weeks are so I feed it with a weak 1.7.6 fertilizer in water.
Was thinking of changing it to a 18-6-8 granules (every 6 months). Any Advice?

Your plant is extremely nutrient deficient as indicated by the chlorosis (yellowing of the leaves).
The soil may be draining too well, and leaching the nutrients from the highly soluble NPK fertilizer. I would recommend a slow release natural organic fertilizer like this (or Down To Earth brand all purpose): https://www.domyown.com/dr-earth-organic-all-purpose-fertilizer-p-9485.html [1]
If it were mine I would re-pot since it’s been a year in that soil, with a good potting soil like this: https://www.domyown.com/dr-earth-home-grown-organic-potting-soil-p-9497.html [2]

I am a retired California arborist living in Thailand, jackfruit country. I have a young, 12′ jackfruit tree in my yard now. I have never seen the lobed leaves like your tree has, so I looked it up and noted that it may be a variation of the species, juvenile leaves or a different species of Artocarpus, the large genus which includes jackfruit and breadfruit.
These are large growing trees and I would not expect one to do well for any length of time indoors, or to fruit as a small container plant. Unless maybe you have more experience or information on this from where you obtained the plant. Good luck.

Thanks For the Answer, No, no, no Experiance. My wife got the fruit at local asian markets and we tried to plants them was all, fun project. The Weather where I live gets about 1-7 days as year between 29-35, and the summer are very Hot, this year it hit 115, So I have no doubt they would die outside.
Will try. Will try your recommendation of fertilizer
