Would covering with Landscape Weedblock or Clear Plastic be the better way to prevent (Bishops weed) from coming back? And hopefully paint in less spring summer. Or wait a year ???? 50’x50′ ? Front yard, hosts, phlox, solid and variegated Solomon seL 4 varieties of tulips as well as Trout lilies, hydranges, grasses, day lily, clematis. All being OVERWHELMED by Bishops weed ? tried cardboard and it’s finds it way…. thank you for any advise. Clear plastic ?heavy duty Landscape fabric????????

I do think that solarizing will be the best way forward. I would pull out anything that you wish to keep alive once dormancy rolls around, or as they begin to slow down for the year. After, you can solarize the area. This article will help:
