My Bamboo Is Dying After Putting Calcified Seaweed On. How Can I Help It?

I put calcified seaweed on my Phyllostachyis Nigra by mistake (I thought it was Fish Blood and Bone) and all the leaves are dying. I have tried to remove as much of the top layer of soil as possible but is there anything else I can do? Thanks
