Monkey Grass/Dogs

I am having my yard completely redone. I have two large active dogs and the landscaper has recommended monkey grass for the entire yard. The yard is part shade/part sunny and in Missouri, Zone 5, I believe. Is this a safe grass for the dogs?

The grass itself should not pose any threat to your dogs; however, the berries are mildly poisonous, more so with pups. Typically, upset stomach is most often experienced. You can remedy this simply by pulling the blooms or mowing to prevent the berries from forming.
