Money tree overgrew its winding/braided limbs

The only living limb overgrew the other dead limbs that were braided together…what do I do to support the weight of the growing, thriving limb?

I would work on getting it shorter so you don't have that top-heavy issue. Cut off the top several inches down to a leaf joint and cut it at a 45 degree angle about 1/2 inch above the joint. That should encourage some branching lower down the "trunk." The top piece can be rooted for another plant. As it fills in, continue pruning and shaping and cutting downward till you get the shape you want.

If you are real adventurous you could cut off the top part entirely with about 8 inches of trunk below the canopy and root that to start a new plant. The bottom should send out new shoots as well.
