Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe’ve just discovered this huge hole in the tree in our garden. The tree is very old and 30 feet tall, if it falls it will damage our or neighbors house. We want to try to save it. Do you think there is a way to do it? Looks like nothing left fo support. You help would be much appreciated!

That is a bacterial gummosis, but that is a previous injury or infection, also.
I do not think that this tree, or your neighbors house is worth the effort that it will take to keep this tree from falling apart. Because it is at risk of harming someone else, this should be dealt with by professionals to avoid legal matters and injury.
