Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comIs it normal for a Mandevilla to completely turn brown during normal dormant time? I covered it during frost, but it turned all brown and looks dead. It was so pretty all summer, hope it will come back. Thank you.

Unusually cold weather can wreak havoc on plants like these. If the leaves are brown, then the leaves are dead, but it may regrow from the stem if the stem is alive. This article will help you figure out if the stem is alive: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/how-to-tell-if-a-plant-is-dead-and-how-to-recover-an-almost-dead-plant.htm [1]
