Magnolias

Hi Deciding on a Star OR Saucer Magnolia zone 5a What would you say are the pros and cons for each. I’m looking for fragrant and good flowering period . Also year round interest. Thank you fro your time. Regards Gail

The Star magnolia may be a better choice in your zone. Saucer magnolias are notorious for getting nipped by a late freeze.
