Lupins flowering in december & january

a lupin pant which was planted late spring flowered in the summer but did not die back it started flowering again in early december and still flowering now in january. Why

This can happen as the weather presents itself to be suited for the plant. This can trigger flowering or growth. It is not a problem and nothing will need to be done.
