Lots of Plant Greenery, Little Amount of Fruit

What would the reason be for lots of plant growth but very little fruit?

Too much nitrogen. This causes lots of lush foliage growth but little to no blooms or fruit. You can fix this by adding more phosphorus to the soil either with a phosphorus-rich fertilizer or bone meal.
