Loquat fruiting in June

I have a loquat tree in North Florida that is producing fruit right now (June). This seems pretty late to be fruiting, based on internet research. Tree is very tall, 10+ feet, but I don’t know its age. Is this unusual?

From my research Loquats are unusual among fruit trees in that the flowers appear in the autumn or early winter, and the fruits are ripe at any time from early spring to early summer.
