Lilac Bush

My neighbor thought he was being helpful in trimming my lilac bush. It is April 10, did he cut the blooms off? I live in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

It’s certainly a possibility. The best rule of thumb on pruning lilacs is to do it right after the flowers die off in the summer.
