lettuce

My lettuce (Romaine and Butter) have begun to bloom. Is it still good? Should I pull the whole plant out by the roots?

This is called bolting. While the plants are still edible, their flavor will now be more bitter and won’t taste as good. Most people choose to remove the lettuce plants once they start bolting. Here is more information on bolting:
