Lemon Thyme Lemon Balm

Are lemon thyme and lemon balm the same thing or are they two different plants?

These are 2 very different plants. Lemon balm is in the mint family, grows rapidly and dies back to the ground in winter. Lemon thyme is a slowlycreeping groundcover. It has both thyme and lemon flavors. Lemon balm makes a great tea or addition to ice tea.
