Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comToday when I went to mow our buffalo grass lawn, I noticed a streak of strange looking grass. Upon closer examination, I found a purple to dark black crystal looking formations on the blades. The area is not very big, but we don’t want it to spread to the rest of the lawn. Do you have any suggestions for care and what this might be?

It does sound like some type of fungus, though pinpointing the exact type may be diffcult as there are many. You will need to use a fungicide on it. This article will help:
