KnockOut roses are not fussy about dead-heading. Standard rose rules are to move down the cane and cut just above a leaf with 5 leaflets. This isn’t necessary with KnockOuts. Unfortunately, unless there is a new variety out, these shrubs do not produce nice rose hips. They simply turn brown and will fall off the plant eventually.
