Kiwi Vines Not Blooming

My kiwi vines are 4-5 years old.The vines are forming these little pods that look like unbloomed flowers but I am not sure. These pods are not opening at all and it’s almost the end of April. The temperature has been running a bit below average at 13C (55F). Am I wrong to assume these are flowers that may form fruit at some point?

Yes, they are, and they are right on time! They should start to bloom very soon. However, you will need to know which sex it is, and you will need another plant of the opposite sex for pollination to occur. some people will choose to graft a male vine to a female plant to save space. Grafting a male to a female isn't as useful, though.
