Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe have 3 areas around our home that have mulch around flowers, roses and bushes. Squirrels bury nuts and other stuff in the mulch and then go back later and dig it up. This process causes a lot of the mulch to be pulled out of the mulched area ending up in our yard and leaving a hole in the mulched area. What can I do to stop this activity? John Linn York, NE

Have you tried placing chunks of Irish Spring soap around in the area? I tried it and did noticed a decrease in the amount of squirrels around our bird feeders. I'd also used moth balls to remove squirrels from our attic.THE SQUIRRELS MOVED OUT IMMEDIATELY! I understand squirrels avoid smells they hate. Good luck!
