Kerria japonica is also known as Japanese rose plant. It is hardy in zones 4-9 so is a tough plant. It can take some shade but prefers a half day of sun. Is yours in full shade? Try pruning it to improve its appearance and increase flowering. Fertilize in spring with a slow release fertilizer.
