Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comIt’s supposed to hit 28-30 degrees this weekend, cover my tomatoes or no? Living in the Rapid City, SD area – the forecast keeps changing from 28 to 30…the plants are doing so well. Can I just cover with a plastic tarp? Supposed to hit that temp for 3 days through the weekend.

Tomatoes do not like temperatures below 40-45 degrees so I would recommend covering them. I always say better to be safe than sorry!
