prepping hostas for winter

Are there any preparations you should do for hostas to get hem ready for winter? My husband was watching the news and the newswomen said she had to put her hostas to bed for the winter so is the preparation to be done for the winter in order to have a better plant come next spring?

You can trim the leaves of your Hosta plants. I like to cut mine to about 3 inches in height.
This helps neaten up the garden and since your Hosta’s make their appearance early in the spring their planting area will be clean and ready.
