I can’t find any reference to the smoke being toxic, as it is with oleander or poison ivy, for instance. However, just to be safe, you can cut up the fronds (using gloves, I hope) and put them in plastic garbage bags. You can contact your garbage service to ask about disposal of toxic plants, but to be honest, I don’t think they’re really that dangerous.
