Is is common for a single gladiolus to grow more than one flowering stem?

I have several that have grown two flowering stems and one that is growing with three. The one that is growing three flower stems does not have as many florets on the stems as the two and single stem glads.

Large corms can send up multiple stems. When it does send out multiple stems they may not be as full of blossoms.
