Is Bbq Cherry Wood Chips Toxic/harmful To Soil?

Hello, my parents bought me a bbq cherry wood chip bag to add to my mulch mixture. I am not sure if I can use this but it doesn’t have any treatment that I know of. It is still okay to use this? Thanks
