Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI sprayed quite a lot of this ant killer powder on some ants in my vegetable patch but now I am wondering if it will penatrate through to the vegetables via the roots and if it does would it be harmful to eat these vegetables?

Permethrin is safe to use in vegetable gardens, and edibles usually can be harvested after 24 hours. The back of your insecticide label should say how long to wait before harvesting. It can kill bees, however, so try not to use it when bees are active.
