Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy indoor ficus tree has developed sticky leaves and spreads the stickiness to the surrounding furniture and floor. I sprayed the tree thoroughly with the garden hose several times in an attempt to remove the stickiness. The stickiness continues to return. The tree is 6′ high and I have had for over 10 years. Is there something I can do to stop this problem?

The tree has a pest infestation of some kind, most likely aphids or scale. You will most likely find the pests on the undersides of the leaves. These articles will help you:
