I’m In Michigan And Have Started Putting My Beds To Sleep…

Would it do if I top coated them now with land and sea compost?? Maybe espionage bio tone??? Looking to have healthier soil for next year.. thanks. Laura

I normally do not try to add products that have nitrogen as they can keep some plants in "grow" mode, just as early frosts arrive. For example, a slow release fertilizer should be applied about three months before your average date of first frost. For Royal Oaks, the average date of first frost is around the last week of October so the last application of a product with nitrogen should occur by the last week of July.
