I Would Like To Know How Deeply To Cut Into Norway Maple To Girdle It

I have heard that killing Norway Maples by girdling is harder than with some other species. How to effectively kill it because it is killing several trees close to it.

It is the same process, but the bark is thick. All you need is about an inch (2.5cm) which will sever the nutrient transport layer under the bark.
