plant that will survive winter

I want a plant for my flower boxes that will survive through the winter. Evergreen or vine. I want something that will remain green through the winter.

Myrtle, Periwinkle, Common Ivy, and Euonymus would be good vining plants.

Coral Bells, Wild Ginger, Bugleweed and Succulents and Sedums would work nicely.
