I Used Corrugated Plastic Perforated Piping To Stop Animals Using My Bottle Brush Trunk As A Scratching Post. Hopefully This Did

This article says plastic tubes or pipes can be fitted around trees for protection. Just make sure it won't restrict the growth of the tree.
