I Planted Japanese Ligustrum A Few Weeks Ago Beginning Of June. I Have One Plant That Appears The Top 2/3 Of The Bush Is Dead But

the bottom third has perfect healthy leaves. Not sure what happened but can I go ahead and cut the dead off to save the plant or do I need to replace it instead? We live in East Tennessee
