I need to move my peony because it is drowning under the new metal roof installed last year. Roots are becoming exposed.

Can I use a mineral to reduce the shock of transplanting now, in Vermont, late spring? I want to save this plant.

September is the best time to move your Peony, but if your plant is suffering in an area that is remaining wet, I would move now to avoid any further chance of root rot, disease and possible loss of the plant entirely.
