bare root tree growth

How long for a bare root tree to show signs of growth after planting? I live in WA, the pacific NW, and I planted a 2′ pink flowing dogwood a couple months ago (looks like a t wig). How long will it take for it to show any life?

You should start seeing signs of growth within 4-6 weeks.

I didn’t plant a bare root tree, it was a potted tree so don’t know why my question shows I planted a bare root? Haven’t seen any life at all after 2 months so is my little twig of a dogwood tree dead?
