I Live In Northeastern Pennsylvania. Do Crepe Myrtles Grow Well In This Area? I Recently Saw Them In Maryland, With The Bright Re

d flowers. I would love to grow one in my yard. I live in the country, White Haven, Pennsylvania. Is this a good climate and zone for them to grow?

Sorry, your USDA Zone in White Haven is 5B and their coldest rating is Zone 7 with a only few cultivars rated hardy to Zone 6B. However, a lilac tree would be winter hardy and somewhat similar. If you have a heated garage, you could try to grow a compact CM in a pot with rollers/caddy and bring the pot inside during fall/winter when the CM goes dormant.
