Your article stated the rhizomes need to be dug up right after the first frost has killed the foliage and allow them to dry in a warm, dry play for up to seven days. Then place in a paper bag, etc.. Another/different article stated you can bring the potted calla lily indoors and put it in a cool dry place after cutting off the stems. Obviously I’d prefer the easier of the two; but I’d like to know which method is best so the Calla lily will flower next spring? Also, if your article is the best way to go, then when do you remove the rhizomes from storage and replant?? Thank you!

If they are in container, you can choose to winter them in container. It is better to lift them and prepare them, though, since it cuts most of the risk of losing them to infection. Both are viable options, though.
