Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live in South Central PA, the temps are hovering around 35 – 40 degrees and the ground is not frozen. I’m leaning towards overwintering this little bush in my basement. I know they are hardy here and I’m wondering if I should just plant it.

I would wait. They are hardy, but it would not have time to establish before a freeze. This would not be good at all. The best course of action would be to treat this as a houseplant until you can plant it outdoors in the spring. It will struggle indoors, but it will struggle more in a dimly lit basement. Keep this in a brightly lit window and care for it until spring.
