tumors on my raspberry bushes

I have the odd tumors on my raspberry bushes and they are thorny. The plants are ten years old and I found 3. They are on the stems and are about 1.5 in diameter 2-3 inches long.

I believe these to be Galls. They could have formed at a pruning site.
