fill in space around the from of my car park spaces. the planters are 600mm high and 400 mm high on the sunny side I plan to put a small box hedge around the full length on the car park side of the planter. which when formed should give me a 600 mm wall with 200 to 300 mm of evergreen hedge when looking at it from the car park. But i an looking for adice on what i can put in front of the hedge on the sunny side of the planters. The planters are made from timber sleepers plinted black. I would like to fill the front of the planters with different types of plants which will continually grow each year with different types of white flower or which has white foliage but i don’t want them to grow higher than the hedge so the plants will only be seen from the street and not the car park

I am not aware of any white flowers that, also, have white foliage. Plants require some amount of chlorophyll in the leaves to carry out photosynthesis. Some seedlings of different plant genus and species do grow albino with no chlorophyll, but they die very soon after the cotyledons fall off, since they have no way of manufacturing nutrients without the ability to carry out photosynthesis.

The closest that you will get will be a variegated plant with white flowers. The foliage will be partially pigmentless, while some chlorophyll remains in the leaves for photosynthesis.

I was unable to determine your location, as our zones and zipcodes are different than yours. I assume that this is somewhere in the UK. If this is the case, you will be equivalent, most, to our USDA zone 9.

I am looking for plants with white leaves or plants with white flowers. the main thing is that they don't grow more than 400mm tall. so they don't come above the box hedge
