I have got a single stem poppy growing with 14 buds is this normal?

I’ve never seen so many buds on a single stem poppy before

There are many types of Poppies that produce several flowers per plant.
Pepperbox Poppies can grow 3 feet tall and have many flowers. What a wonderful specimen you have!
