I have a mixed window box with some salvia patens. Do I trim them?

They had a few flowers when I got them but none now, though they are very healthy looking. I know they usually flower mid to late summer into fall, but I’ve never grown them before and I don’t know if they need to be cut back to bloom.

You can trim off spent flowers and if it gets leggy in summer you can cut them back by 1/3.
