I Have A Fungus On My Bramley Apple Tree

A white substance on my Bramley apple tree looks like icing sugar on candy floss on half my branches. What do you recommend to cure this problem. Many thanks

Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I am unable to identify the issue in question. There are a number of things that I could suspect, like fungal infection, sap drippings, or insect eggs, but I couldn't confirm without seeing the issue in question.
