what to use in place of compost

I don’t have compost. What can I use instead? I have clay and sand soil.

You don’t have to use compost but it does improve the overall health of both your soil and plants, regardless of whether they’re grown in pots or in the ground. Here is an article or two that you may find helpful: [1]
