I do not recognise this plant that has appeared in one of my pots. Can you help please

No flowers at the moment, but each leaf has a small darker shaded imprint of what looks like a maple leaf. Leaves are thin and smooth.

It's an annual weed, Persicaria maculosa, the dark spot is the giveaway. Seeds remain in soil all winter and sprout in spring.
