Hydrangeas

When is the best time to dig up and transfer hydrangeas? I live in Michigan and a friend said that I can have 2 of hers. They are still dormant with no new growth yet.

Now is a great time! It will need watering weekly for the next month and during very hot or dry weather this summer.
