Hybrid Japanese Maple Tree

I have been given a hybrid Japanese maple. What does “hybrid” mean? What growing conditions does it need and how big will it grow? Thank you.

Normally, this is done to bring together two traits in each of the chosen varieties so that the resulting plant has both traits. Plants grown from hybrid seeds typically do not produce seeds that can be used to grow the same type of plants, and may even produce seeds that will not grow at all.
Japanese maple care: Planting can br done in spring or fall. Most thrive in full sun, but some prefer open shade or part sun and shade. Mulching will help insulate the roots for winter and protect their early spring growth. Water deeply twice a week; water more often if it is a newly planted tree or a container-grown tree.
