hybiscus tree

I have black spots that cover all of the buds on my tree. I cant see any movement so I don’t know if they are bugs. I have sprayed with a soap solution and rubbing alcohol and haven’t seen a change. Are they bugs and should I throw away my plant?

To me, it seems as if you are looking at either a bacterial, or fungal infection. I have a method I use to correct this that will also give your plants a little boost.

My recipe is as follows: First, you will want to prime the soil with dolomitic lime, then spread wettable sulfur to Kill off any infection in the soil. I Also like to spray the plant itself. Mix a few drops of one or more of these ingredients into warm water with a spoonful of coconut oil: Rosemary oil, lavender oil, neem oil, garlic oil, cinnamon extract/oil and for really bad cases, also add clove oil.
