I would like to use the leftover stalks for plants however i havent yet started composting. Please let me know alternate ways to make a fertilizer with the leftover brocoli stems.

I would not attempt to use them without composting, or without making a compost tea, but sometimes, just throwing them out into your garden is enough to get the composting process started! Unfortunately, using fresh material in an indoor setting, or in container, would not be recommended. This will carry a heavy risk of introducing an infection to your plants.
